Elevating a Mission-Driven Brand

Through Strategic Product Photography

Women's Bean Project

Mission-driven nonprofit food brand

The Challenge:
Women’s Bean Project had incredible products and standout packaging—but their photography didn’t reflect the quality of what they were selling or support their growing retail and PR goals.

What We Did:

  • Brand & product photography for 50+ packaged food products

  • Styled lifestyle kitchen scenes designed for marketing, retail, and press

  • Stop-motion videos for product launches and seasonal collections

The Outcome:
A cohesive, professional image library that elevated their marketing, supported retail expansion, and prepared the brand for major media and PR opportunities—including national television features.

Case Study: Product Photography for a Mission-Driven Food Brand — Women’s Bean Project

Women’s Bean Project is one of those organizations that makes you pause—in the best way. Their mission is powerful: providing job training and employment to women facing significant barriers to work. Their products are genuinely excellent. Their packaging is thoughtful, bold, and shelf-ready.

In other words: the foundation was already there.

But one key piece wasn’t keeping up.

Here’s all you need to do before you can launch your site!

The Challenge: When Great Products and Packaging Outgrow Their Photography

Women’s Bean Project was actively pitching to expand onto more grocery store shelves and into larger retail opportunities. They had standout products and branding—but their existing photography didn’t reflect that quality or confidence.

The disconnect wasn’t subtle:

  • Packaging that looked great in person, but flat on screen

  • Products that belonged in someone’s kitchen, but didn’t feel lived-in

  • A brand ready for PR, but without the visual assets to fully support it

They didn’t need a rebrand.
They needed photography that could carry the brand forward—into marketing, media, and retail conversations.

The Collaboration Began With Women’s History Month

Our relationship began during a Women’s History Month project spotlighting women-owned businesses in Denver. For Women’s Bean Project, we created a stop-motion video featuring one of their gift boxes opening and revealing everything inside—playful, polished, and deeply aligned with their mission.

That single piece of content did exactly what strong visuals should do:
It told a story and proved what was possible.

They loved it—and soon after, they brought us back for more.

Brand & Product Photography Designed for Retail, Marketing, and PR

Over the course of our collaboration, we created brand photography for 50+ products, designed to support:

  • Website and e-commerce listings

  • Retail and wholesale pitches

  • Marketing campaigns

  • PR and media placements

Our approach:

  • Styled kitchen scenes with the product as the hero

  • Supporting elements that added warmth and context—never clutter

  • Clean, intentional compositions that felt aspirational but approachable

  • Visual consistency across an expansive product line

The goal was simple and strategic:
Make every product look like something you’d proudly keep in your pantry—and immediately recognize on a shelf.

Lifestyle Product Photography for Packaged Food Products

After the initial stop-motion piece:

  • We were hired to create three additional stop-motion videos for their summer candy launches

  • Later, we photographed their entire winter 2025 collection as they prepared for larger-scale PR opportunities

Each phase built on the last—maintaining consistency while allowing the brand to grow visually alongside their ambitions.

The Results

Women’s Bean Project now has a robust, cohesive image library that matches the quality of their products and the strength of their mission.

Their visuals:

  • Support confident retail and wholesale outreach

  • Elevate their marketing across channels

  • Position them as a polished, professional brand ready for national attention

Upcoming note:
Their imagery was also used during a feature on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
(When this airs publicly, this is where we’ll update the case study with final details and visuals.)

Why This Project Matters

This is the kind of work we love most—where great design, strong strategy, and meaningful impact intersect.

Women’s Bean Project didn’t need flash for flash’s sake.
They needed visuals that respected their mission and met the demands of modern marketing.

That’s what we do best.
