This project was inspired by a chapter Amber read in the book “Her Body and Other Parties” by her favorite author, Carmen Maria Machado. She pictured it immediately as a movie poster for an adaptation of this short story.

She started with stock photography to build the scene, then photographed elements to add to the story and composited those together to complete the scene. The biggest challenge in this project was the dramatic lighting, which was accomplished with many photoshop layers!
