In this passion project, Brooke set out to seamlessly blend illustration, type, and photography into a single captivating image. Brooke transformed the standard dancer shot on a white background by skillfully incorporating masking, simplistic line work, and color blocking techniques. The addition of a famous inspirational dance quote further emphasizes hierarchy through varying weights and sizes of the text. Executed in Photoshop, this creation reflects a fusion of retouching techniques, gradient overlays, and drawing skills.
